New Owners Present Plans. Spread the Word!

Dear Friends of Walker's Cafe,

Do you miss Walker's Cafe as much as we do? Are you worried about its future? USE YOUR VOICE! This Wednesday, October 4th at 6:30 pm, the investment group that bought Walker's Cafe in March 2022 will present their plans for the property, which now include a massive, 3000 sqf residential development with ADU right behind the cafe building. 

A year and a half after they acquired the property, we still haven't seen a roadmap for bringing Walker's Cafe back to life. Now is the time to show up in person and have your voice heard. We need people there -- we need real people from the neighborhood to tell them: this cafe is our community, we need it to reopen. This massive development is NOT what we want. We want Walker's back!

Walker's officially became an LA historic landmark last year because of the overwhelming love and support for keeping it around. But protecting a historic site is a long process that takes community input every step of the way. That's why we have to keep showing up for Walker's -- it makes a huge difference.
